** LOCAL OFFICER CONTACT INFORMATION FORM
From 2018-2019 Michigan BPA State President Nathan Lee
Local officers should have filled out the contact information form at the fall leadership conference. If your chapter did not attend FLC or left the session early, please have them fill the form out at http://bit.ly/MIBPAFLC. Even if your chapter attended, please ask to ensure that your students completed the form.
** MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT WEEK IS THIS WEEK
Membership Recruitment Week is this week. The state officers are hoping that you are actively recruiting new members to our organization. You can have your current or returning members visit various classrooms at your school to share information about BPA. In addition, post flyers or posters around the building to recruit new members. Share pictures about your recruitment efforts via our social media on Twitter and Instagram @michiganbpa.
** PREPARE FOR SUCCESS SESSIONS AT DAVENPORT UNIVERSITY (S)

** WORKPLACE SKILLS ASSESSMENT PROGRAM GUIDELINES – REGIONAL EDITION (S)
The Regional Edition of the WSAP Guidelines will be posted on our website on November 1, 2018. Often, there are numerous changes to this document throughout the year. Therefore, on November 1, we will post on our website the version that will be used for regional competition. This will be the official version for regional competition.
Immediately after all regional competitions are over, we will post the final updated version for the school year. If you wish, you may download a "preliminary working copy" from the National BPA website at http://www.bpa.org/compete/downloadcenter with the understanding that on November 1 the regional edition will be posted on our website.
** CITING SOURCES IN YOUR WORKS CITED
Do you need to know how to cite a source in your Works Cited document and there is no example in the Style & Reference Manual? An excellent resource is Purdue Owl, which is accessible online at https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/purdue_owl.html. This cite provides information on how to cite all sources, including electronic media and various items found online.
Remember, students must cite themselves in their Works Cited document for any graphics, images, photographs, etc. that they own or have created.
UPDATED SLC COMPETITION TIME SCHEDULE (S)
As announced during the fall leadership conference, a correction was needed on the state leadership conference schedule for Payroll Accounting. The schedule has been corrected. Please remember that PC Servicing & Troubleshooting, Payroll Accounting, and SQL Database Fundamentals will have new times for the 2019 SLC. The new schedule is available for download on the documents page of our website or a direct link to the document is https://www.michiganbpa.org/s/docs-2019-SLC-Competition-Time-Schedule-2018-10-08.pdf.
