** ADVISOR CELL PHONES
We will continue using a text message system as we have done in past conferences. If you know for a fact that we do not have your cell phone number on record, please provide it to us. This text message system will be used as an emergency response system as well as a method to send periodic announcements/reminders throughout the conference. If you want to be excluded from receiving these messages, please let me know.

** SLC SAFETY PLAN
A copy of the SLC Safety Plan is available for download at www.michiganbpa.orga/slc-documents. You may want to review this document prior to the SLC and have a copy on hand during the actual conference.

** VOTING DELEGATES’ PACKET
The voting delegate’s packet is available online www.michiganbpa.org/slc-documents. Please make sure your two voting delegates have copies of this packet so they can be prepared for their important role of electing the next leaders of our association.

** NLC DISNEY Y.E.S. EVENT AT 2019 NLC
Similar to the 2017 NLC, Michigan will coordinate a Disney Y.E.S. experience for delegates from Michigan. The event in 2017 was very well received. This will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Disneyland. We are letting you know now, because this would require early travel to Anaheim, California. Stay tuned for more information.

BUSINESS ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES
By Noah Cox, Executive Vice-President

If you have students who want to learn more about business, we have some ideas for you. The 2018-2019 State Executive Council has been reaching out to many colleges and businesses throughout Michigan in order to help students get more business enrichment opportunities and further their passion for business. Visit the Opportunities page of our website at www.michiganbpa.org/opportunities to learn more about various camps and internships. Continue to check this page as we will be adding more camps and internships as the year progresses! In addition, be sure to check out the booths many of these camps and internships will have as well at the 2019 Michigan BPA State Leadership Conference if you are in attendance.

Information about the Northwood University Lab Camp and Alma College Business Scholars Camp is available online at www.michiganbpa.org/opportunities.

Please share this information with your students.

SLC JUDGES NEEDED
We are still in need of judges for the state conference. Our most pressing need is in the presubmitted events area. If you have a conference chaperone, colleague, or friend who is willing to volunteer as a judge, please direct them to sign-up online at www.michiganbpa.org/slc-judges. The sooner they sign up, the sooner they will receive a confirmation. We would also mail them the presubmitted event contestant materials right away as well.

LINKEDIN PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOTS AT SLC
Michigan BPA will be offering LinkedIn (or other social media use) professional headshots at SLC. BPA alum and volunteer Michael Croff will be facilitating the mini headshot studio on the second level of the hotel, in front of Courtesy Corps.

We are excited to offer this additional service to conference participants, advisors, and volunteers. Photos will be individually edited and delivered via email after the conference.

Headshots will be offered for $10, of which $5 will be contributed to Michigan BPA.

For group sales of headshots feel free to contact Michael Croff during the conference or before at croffmichael@gmail.com or 517-242-2851.

A schedule of headshot studio open hours is available in the tentative schedule of events, which is available online at www.michiganbpa.org/slc-documents.
