** OUTSTANDING MEMBERSHIP DUES PAYMENTS (S)
Payment reminder notices for past due state and national membership dues payments were e-mailed yesterday. If you received such notice, please take action quickly. As previously announced, membership dues payments are due on or before Friday, December 8, 2017.
** BPA STATE OFFICER CANDIDATES (S)
Do you have a student with excellent leadership skills? Do you believe that they could provide outstanding contributions to Michigan BPA? Why not recommend that they run for state office. Serving as a state officer is a rewarding experience and provides real-world training in many different areas. The Michigan BPA State Executive Council candidate application is available on the documents page of our website. The deadline to apply is January 10, 2018. This is the best time to start completing the application. Do not wait until January to start.
** SLC THURSDAY NIGHT EVENT: CHAPTER FEUD (S)

The state officers are pleased to announce that the Thursday Night Event at the 2018 Michigan BPA State Leadership Conference will be Chapter Feud. This will be an exciting time with fun questions, facts, and prizes. To make the game more accurate and fun for everyone, we ask that you take this short information survey! ** DIPLOMAT TORCH AWARDS CORRECTIONS (S)
The Diplomat (Regional) Torch Awards submissions have been reviewed. You may login to the Torch Awards system to review any submissions that did not qualify. If you wish, corrections may be resubmitted up until 11:59 PM tomorrow Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
** MICHIGAN BPA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION AVAILABLE (S)
Michigan BPA will continue its tradition of recognizing top graduating seniors with our Michigan BPA Scholarship. The scholarship application is available online at www.michiganbpa.org/documents. The application deadline is January 10, 2018. Scholarship awards will be announced and presented during the dinner session at the state leadership conference.
** RLC GRADING & RESULTS (S)
Because of the importance of making sure that all regional finalist results are accurate, please review the separate e-mail message that was sent to you earlier today entitled “RLC GRADING & RESULTS.” This information is very important and applies to ALL regions. The information is also posted online at www.michiganbpa.org/advisors.
** RLC FINALISTS ELIGIBLE FOR SLC (S)
Here is the breakdown in terms of the number of regional winners advancing on to state competition. Based upon the registration numbers for the various regional conferences, the following is a list of RLC winners eligible for the SLC:
ALL regions: Top 2
Region 3: Top 2 Individual
Region 10: Top 3 Individual
Regions 1 and 5: Top 4 Individual
Regions 4, 7, 8, and 9: Top 5 Individual
Region 6: Top 6 Individual
IMPORTANT: Region 10 dropped down a tier due to lower numbers.
