This year there were 132 students and 11 advisors for a total of 143 participants. There were seven Postsecondary chapters present. We were happy to welcome Alma College, Finlandia University, and Kalamazoo Valley Community College to the Postsecondary Division.
** SLC WINNERS LISTS UPDATED ONLINE
Congratulations to all the SLC winners. Remember, the first place winners will receive plaques and the 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive certificates. Students cannot compete in more than three main events at the NLC. Students may compete in an unlimited number of Open Events.

** STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT ATTENDING THE NLC
If you have students who qualified to attend the national conference, but they are not attending, please let me know. I can notify an alternate in that event if your student is not attending. Please let me know no later than Thursday, March 1, 2018.
Keep in mind that some events allow the top five (5) to compete at the NLC. Therefore, if you had students in the top 5, you should check the WSAP Guidelines for that event to determine if the top five (5) qualifiers are eligible.
** CONFERENCE ARRIVAL
When you are booking your airline travel for the conference, please try to arrive early enough to attend the Michigan State Meeting on Wednesday, May 9 at 6:30 pm-7:30 pm. Advisors and all student delegates from Michigan are encouraged to attend this meeting.
BPA WEEK: FEBRUARY 12-16
BPA week is coming up…it is February 12-17 and is the best time for your chapter to promote your chapter and conduct fundraising projects. Make sure you plan a BPA activity for the week. It’s great to have a social event during the week for your chapter and a community activity so people can learn more about BPA.
