** REGIONAL 2018 PRACTICE TESTS
An e-mail entitled “BPA Study Materials 2017-2018” was sent to chapter advisors earlier today. That e-mail contains information on how to download the Regional 2018 tests so your students may study and prepare for state competition.
** SLC REGISTRATION
Please make sure you submit your conference registration on or before January 29, 2018. Instructions for submitting your registration can be found in the state conference registration booklet, which is available for download from www.michiganbpa.org/postsecondary. Registration is open online at www.bpascheduler.com by using your e-mail address as the username and your six digit chapter ID number (with the dash) as your password. A detailed message entitled “BPA SCHEDULER ONLINE REGIONAL REGISTRATION SYSTEM IS READY” was emailed to all chapter advisors on January 5.
** FINAL MEMBERSHIP DEADLINE
January 26 is the final date to enter dues-paying student members into the online membership registration system. You can add these additional members by going online to www.registermychapter.com/bpamem/. Remember, all dues payments must be received at both the state and national offices on or before February 5, 2018. Both offices accept MasterCard and VISA if you wish to pay via credit card. If you wish to use a credit card to pay for you state membership dues, please visit www.michiganbpa.org/credit. You may contact National BPA at 800.334.2007 (M-F 8am-5pm ET) to pay your national dues via credit card.
** APPROVED CALCULATORS
Please remember that for any student competing in an event that allows a calculator, BPA will follow the guidelines approved by ACT. Please make sure you review the type of calculator your student(s) have as published in the Calculator Guidelines published in the WSAP Guidelines. Contestants who violate the rules published in these guidelines will be disqualified.
If you and/or your entire chapter are **NOT** attending the SLC, please let us know.
Also, please pay close attention to the competitive event information mentioned in this and future Tuesday Tipsters. Any information posted in these updates supersedes what is published in the WSAP Guidelines Handbook 2018.
ADDING ADDITIONAL MEMBERS

MEMBERSHIP VERIFICATION & DUES PAYMENTS
Schools with any outstanding balances for state and/or national dues or other items will not be allowed to compete at the SLC. If your school fits this category, you will be notified via e-mail on a weekly basis. Please continue to handle these matters expeditiously.
COMPETITIVE EVENT DOCUMENTATION FORMS
Event Documentation/Entry Forms (in Word Format) are posted online at www.michiganbpa.org/documents. You will need the following documents:

Handwritten forms will not be accepted and will result in DISQUALIFICATION. Obviously, if there is an area where it tells the student to print or sign his/her name, handwriting is allowed in that spot.
Remember, if you want to look up your student’s contestant numbers to include on these forms, please logon to the membership registration system at www.registermychapter.com/bpamem/ and click on "Enter/View Your Members” and then “List All.” The 10-digit number that is next to the students’ names will be their contestant # for the SLC.
As you know, there are eight (8) competitions that are considered presubmitted events because they have materials that must be mailed to us prior to the state conference.
