Business Enrichment Opportunities
Ever wanted to learn more about business? Have you ever felt like you want to do more BPA activities but they don’t work with your schedule? The 2018-2019 State Executive Council has created this page this year to help you get more business enrichment opportunities and further your passion for business. Below are internships and business camps. Check back soon as we will be adding more camps and internships as the year progresses! Be sure to check out the booths many of these camps and internships will have as well at the State Leadership Conference. We hope to see you there!
Northwood University’s LAB Free-Enterprise Camp
LAB Camp is experiential business education at its best! Being an entrepreneur means more than owning a business. Entrepreneurs are creative thinkers and innovative leaders, guided by an inner compass that draws them toward values such as personal responsibility, global awareness, high ethical standards and giving back. If you have the entrepreneurial spirit, we invite you to follow your True North to LAB Free-Enterprise Camp this summer. At this five-day camp, you will live in Northwood’s residence halls, enjoy meals in the Dow Commons Dining Hall, and be surrounded by the entrepreneurial spirit that drives all future business leaders.

Alma College Business Scholars Camp
The Alma College Business Scholars Camp focuses on entrepreneurship, business ethics, and social responsibility. You will be introduced to various business disciplines such as accounting, finance, marketing and management. This intensive, immersive learning experience includes case studies, presentations by professionals and site visits. You will envision a viable business, create a business plan and present it at the end of the class in a “Shark Tank”-like setting. At the conclusion of this camp, you will also be eligible for 3 credits towards BUS 121, Business Foundations.
