Today marks the start of a new era for Michigan BPA - the 40th year of our organization. We're celebrating by launching a host of new programs and features during the 2011-2012 school year that will help us continue to be the premier organization for high school and college business students in Michigan, and the envy of those in other states. This year-long celebration will culminate at the 2012 State Leadership Conference in March. We can't reveal much, but this will definitely be an SLC to remember. In the meantime, here is a look at some of the great things we've been working on to mark our 40th anniversary:

• Social Networks Interact with the State Executive Council through our social media channels, located to the left of this page. We'll also be holding contests and giving prizes exclusively to our followers. Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for the absolute latest in Michigan BPA news.
• Mobile App Later this month, you can take us with you wherever you go using the Michigan BPA app for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android devices! Our exclusive app will allow you to catch the latest updates from the State Office, share and view photos, connect with members, subscribe to the event/deadline calendar, participate in our anniversary celebration, and more. Take pride in knowing that we will be the first and only career/technical student organization with an app for Michigan's members!
• Video Contest At the Fall Leadership Conference in October, we'll kick off our first-ever Michigan BPA video contest. This will give chapters, teams, and individual members the chance to produce engaging, creative anniversary celebration videos, and win terrific prizes including top-of-the-line videography equipment, special VIP Michigan BPA privileges, and other great rewards.
• Michigan BPA Connect When our app launches, with it comes Michigan BPA Connect - our brand-new social network just for our members. You can continue the experience of meeting new people at our leadership conferences by interacting with them online before, during, and after the conference is over. Create a profile, share links, send messages, and meet Michigan BPA members from around the state.
• Anniversary Logo Photos You may have noticed our 40th anniversary logo, and the changing messages between the brackets.
