Preparing for RLC

By Nick Partie
State President

The worst feeling in the world is when you are sitting at the award ceremony and you don’t get called up on stage. Don’t let this happen to you! You have plenty of time before Regional Leadership Conference (RLC) and you need to take advantage of it. No one wants to be stuck home while everyone else is going to Grand Rapids. Prepare! Prepare! Prepare! Just when you think that you have everything perfected, look over it all again. Have your family members evaluate you. Practice in the mirror. Do whatever you need to feel 100% confident with all of the details of your event. Then, once you finally do have everything perfected, shift your attention to Open Events. Just because you are not signed up for Open Events ahead of time does not mean you don’t need to practice them. Open events are a great way to advance on to the State Leadership Conference. Take advantage of the time off for the holidays and prepare even more. BPA is an organization that will give back what you put in. The more you prepare, the farther you will advance.
