** DUES PAYMENT DEADLINE
 All outstanding state and national dues invoices must be paid on or before February 1, 2017 (tomorrow). Both offices accept MasterCard and VISA if you wish to pay via credit card. If you wish to use a credit card to pay for you state membership dues, please visit www.michiganbpa.org/credit. You may contact National BPA at 800.334.2007 (M-F 8am-5pm ET) to pay your national dues via credit card.

** SLC REGISTRATION DEADLINE
 All SLC registrations must be submitted online via BPA Scheduler on or before February 1, 2017 (tomorrow) at 11:59 PM ET.

** SLC REGISTRATION PAYMENT DEADLINE
 All registration payments are due on or before Monday, February 6, 2017.

** PRESUBMITTED EVENTS DEADLINE
 All presubmitted event contestant submissions must be uploaded on or before Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11:59 PM ET. For details, please download the following PDF:

** STUDENT COMPUTER USE/FILE SAVING INSTRUCTIONS

** BPA WEEK: FEBRUARY 13-17
 BPA week is coming up…it is February 13-17 and is the best time for your chapter to promote your chapter and conduct fundraising projects. Make sure you plan a BPA activity for the week. It’s great to have a social event during the week for your chapter and also a community activity so people can learn more about BPA.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE TO COLLEGE STUDENTS
 The Michigan BPA Business Advisory Board is always seeking internship opportunities for our BPA student members. DTE-Energy has internship opportunities available to BPA students. Please direct your students to visit www.michiganbpa.org/internships for more details.

The DTE Energy internship application deadline is Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

POSTSECONDARY SLC INVOICE
 As a part of your state conference registration process, please complete and submit an invoice for your conference registration by visiting www.michiganbpa.org/ps-slc-invoice.

PRESUBMITTED EVENTS AND COMPETITIVE EVENT DOCUMENTATION FORMS
 Please review Tuesday Tipsters #18 and #19 for information about the presubmitted events and competitive event documentation forms.

APPROVED CALCULATORS
 Please remember that for any student competing in an event that allows a calculator, BPA will follow the guidelines approved by ACT. Please make sure you review the type of calculator your student(s) have as published in the Calculator Guidelines published in the WSAP Guidelines. Contestants who violate the rules published in these guidelines will be disqualified.

BPA PISTONS EVENT: FEBRUARY 10, 2017
 Due to popular demand and request, a second BPA Pistons & Sports Entertainment Conference Event has been scheduled for Friday, February 10, 2017. The flyer for this event is available online at www.michiganbpa.org/documents. Space is limited.

LIST OF 2016-2017 COMPETITIONS
 Michigan BPA will not offer some of the pilot events offered by National BPA. For a complete list of competitions, please refer to the contest time schedule in the SLC Registration Booklet or view a complete list online at www.michiganbpa.org/postsecondary.

COMPETITIVE EVENT DOCUMENTATION FORMS
 Event Documentation/Entry Forms (in Word Format) are posted online at www.michiganbpa.org/documents. You will need the following documents:
 *** Individual Event Entry Form
 *** Team Event Entry Form
 *** Release Form

Handwritten forms will not be accepted and will result in DISQUALIFICATION. Obviously, if there is an area where it tells the student to print or sign his/her name, handwriting is allowed in that spot.

Remember, if you want to look up your student’s contestant numbers to include on these forms, please logon to the membership registration system at www.registermychapter.com/bpamem/and click on "Enter/View Your Members” and then “List All.” The 10-digit number that is next to the students’ names will be their contestant # for the SLC.
