Leadership 101

By Ross Moore
Vice-President of Membership

How would you describe a leader? A leader is someone who can handle responsibility. They are more than able to handle any task you throw at them. A good leader will find a way to get things done. They are able to use their team to maximize the potential of the task at hand. A leader is able to use constructive criticism to get the most out of their team members. Relating to constructive criticism a leader is also approachable. A leader must also understand that other team members have ideas, too and that they must be willing to listen to those ideas when they are being presented to them. A leader should lead, not manage. A leader is dedicated. They realize the task at hand and don’t stop until the project is done; they can’t stop thinking about the task at hand. They carry the responsibility of failure or success with them.
