Greetings from your 2008-2009 State Executive Council! We are extremely excited for this upcoming year and are honored to be serving the Michigan members of Business Professionals of America. We've been working hard to ensure that this will be a great year for our state. This year's mission statement is: "Taking initiative to prepare for your future by developing vital skills acquired through Business Professionals of America." We strongly believe that the opportunities and experiences acquired while participating in Business Professionals of America can and will help you prepare for your future.
Along with urging members to take initiative to prepare for their future, we have set goals for our council which you can take part in! Our goals are: acquire a minimum of two business sponsors per region, increase Torch Award participation by 20%, and to raise $2,000 for the scholarship fund. We also have three standing goals, which focus on membership, service, and conferences. We are extremely motivated to reach these goals and urge each one of you to help us attain them. As you strive to step up to your future, remember that your council is here to help you and we care about your success. We have set up many ways for us to keep in touch and help our members.
