Is your school having trouble funding your Business Professionals of America chapter? If so, you are not alone! Schools all across America are dealing with the same problem; there is simply not enough money to cover all the expenses. Luckily, there are many ways to help eliminate some of those costs.
Fundraising is a very popular and highly effective way to earn money. Common fundraisers are: car washes, candy bar sales, silent auctions, and raffles. Getting together a group of people who are willing to put in a little extra work can go a long way. Creating fun ideas such as hosting a dance, athletic event, or even a garage sale are great ways to get people involved and build enthusiasm towards our organization. Another great way to raise money is to get involved with the community. Incorporating community service with a fundraiser can benefit people of all ages. Easy service-oriented ways to make money are: leaf raking, shoveling snow, and picking up pop cans.
Remembering that fundraising can be fun is the key to success when it comes to participation and effort. Whether it is planning a school-wide event or grabbing a few friends to help a neighbor clean their garage, it is possible to raise enough money to support your BPA chapter.
