Thank you to all chapter advisors and chapter officers for coming to the fall leadership conference. It was a great success! FOCUS Training gave another great presentation this year. On October 10, FOCUS Training had three workshops: "Fans, Friends, Followers," "Community Build," and "Twisted Tower." At the training, students learned about networking not only with friends but as a way to connect with potential employers and universities. The Salvation Army program is the volunteer project for the year and the "Community Build" focused on how the BPA statewide community can work together to help each other.
One student said, "I can't get over the FLC yesterday! I'm so glad I went now. so many opportunities that opened so many doors! Thank you again and again to all the advisors, state officers, and everyone else that helped with organizing it!" Another student stated, "The most important thing I learned was to be conscious of your community, yourself, your environment, even your Facebook page!" Check out the Michigan BPA Facebook page to see what everybody else is saying about this year's fall conference and for other Business Professionals of America information.
Next up is the Pistons game on December 9 and then the regional leadership conferences!
